The future for unlocking cars
There is an even better way to unlock a car now and it comes from a company known as Zipcar. Could this unique idea work well for them in bringing them in more customers. They have realised that a lot of people seem to purchasing the iPhone so they have been hard at work implementing this into their new way of renting cars.
Just over four hundred have their cars can now be unlocked by using an iPhone. The system will recognise that each and every phone is different and can pick up on the unique signal so that at a press of a button (or screen in the case of the iPhone) you can actually unlock the car. There is a small system placed in the car itself and is used to pick uup the unique signal from the phone. To make sure that another iPhone owner does not run off with your nice rented ride the company hand out key card that must be activated within the cars to make sure your phone is the only one that can unlock it.
This invention sounds more like something out of the Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies than a real life thing. Of course you are not going to be able to do this with new cars yet because this is happening only at Zipcar. Surely the day will come where this is happening all over the world. Perhaps in the future when you go to Buy a new Alfa Romeo or perhaps when you buy a Renault
What could possibly be on the way next for these two great technologys that are the iPhone and the car? Of course the next step would be to actually have it remote controlled just like Bond does in the very same film mentioned before. Of course technology itself is ever changing and it is almost certain to say that we can hope to see a lot more of these types of inventions.
