Sat Navving on the iPhone
TomTom have recently announced that they have teamed up with Apple to make a Sat Nav ap for the every popular iPhone?
No, is the short answer here. This is coming to the iPhone for quite an expensive price of £60. Of course the friendly woman telling you where to go is present here but what on earth happens if you recieve a telephone call when you are concentrating on the directions. Is the lovely Sat Nav woman simply saying “please stop here while you take the call” as you frantically answer “BUT I’M IN THE MIDDLE OF A MOTORWAY!!!” Of course it has its flaws but most inventions too.
The price isn’t exactly nice either; you can get a decent Sat Nav for cheaper that will do more than this extra application. Is it not just promoting you to look at your mobile phone when you are driving your nice, soon to be wrecked (if you are constantly looking at your phone) BMW orFord?
Of course all of this could be just a little bit more hype for the iPhone? Other mobile phones have been able to do this for many years, what makes the one on the iPhone any better in any way at all? It isnt at all. It could turn out to be a nice touch for any iPhone owner as it maps more than just the UK which is something that can be a huge benefit.
It doesn’t matter what car you have, or even if you are thinking of getting used cars it can work with anything just like a normal Sat Nav.
So if you are thinking about getting a Sat Nav, the iPhone is just another option out there for you.
