How leasing a van was right for my business
I, like many other people in this country ply their trade using a van. Plainly speaking, without this van, I would be looking for a real job! So it is important for me to have all of the leg work done, so that I know that I can go about my business. I can also keep the accountant happy, which makes everyones life so much easier.
How do I use a van to the best advantage of my business? I actually answered an advertisement in the newspaper looking for individuals to buy a small franchise from a well known courier company. I had taken redundancy from my old job and thought ‘why not’. I figured that I had nothing to loose, and it may also be fun and engaging.
The downside to these franchises is that you have to sort out your own method of transportation. You are required basically to be the owner of your own van. I decided to study what options were available to me, and nearly gave up on the idea. The purchase route was impossible as i had used my budget on the franchise purchase agreement. It seemed to me that a commecial van leasing deal was the most sensible route to take. What was better about leasing rather than purchasing the vehicle outright? Flexibility is the main key here. All types of vehicles are covered by leasing, including the Hilux by Toyota, which I find cool and commanding. It is pure personal vanity of course, and should be dismissed as such.
With a leasing deal, van finance is easy to get and very competitive. When you have agreed your lease deal, you credit rating will then be assessed. Once that is approved, you are away with your brand new van. The real clever thing herek, is that when the deal has run its course, you have the option of a new deal or selling your van!
